It’s a oldie from the archives. The Domestic Goddess was the first food blog I started reading. She adapted this recipe from Nigella Lawson. DG is Canadian, and the measurements are metric. Here I’ve converted them and added some other handy notes. Click to enlarge.

 

Very runny batter is mixed in the Dutch oven.

Frosting reminiscent of the head on a pint of stout.

To be served with coffee-flavored ice cream.
