But seriously, though. If you need to make a fit adjustment to the FRONT of a bodice (shirt, dress, etc.), you want a princess seam.

A princess seam lets you fiddle with fit EXACTLY where you're running into challenges accommodating body volume (for the front, that's usually tum and ta-tas).

Did you know that you can transform🪄 any darts into a princess seam? Yup-a-roo.

When was the last time you went to @joann_stores to just have a wander?

I had a goal-less wander around Joann recently, and I wanted to share with you some fabric that caught my eye.

Pic 1: A faux orange sherpa situation. This rainbow plaid looks SO MUCH LIKE @robertkaufman Mammoth flannel in the Durango colorway (which I know because I sewed a dress in it). This fabric had a high squish factor.

Pic 2: Mushroom flannel. Lots of mushrooms at JA overall. I love this print and wanted to buy a couple of yards only for the purpose of sewing pajama pants. I'm basic.

Pic 3: Moth flannel. This captured my attention because it reminded me of a @tulapink print. (In case you don't know Tula Pink designs fabric primarily for quilting.) Anyhoo, check out Pink's "De La Luna" collection to see the moth-y-ness.
